Welcome Home

Reflecting the traditions and values of an era gone by, a lovingly restored 240 year old farmhouse stands guard at the site of an inspired new Watertown address. Those who make their home here will be nestled in historic Litchfield County, in a town renowned for its excellent schools, rich heritage and modern conveniences.

Lying adjacent to Woodbury, Bethlehem and Waterbury, Watertown boasts a delightful mix of rural charm and town amenities. With easy access to Routes 8, 84 and 6, Danbury, Hartford and the lower Naugatuck Valley are only minutes away. From the prestigious Taft School to the headquarters of several major corporations, knowledgeable people and institutions have long called Watertown home. Now, through the Westport Group's latest development, a limited number of families have the opportunity to join this exciting and diverse community.

Welcome home to Winding Brook Farm.

Any new residential community is only as good as the people charged with its development. The Westport Group brings the dedication, experience and expertise to this undertaking that assure excellence in every aspect.

The Westport Group's philosophy is to create environments for living developments that respect the natural surroundings while providing all the desired conveniences and services for those who live there. To that end, they work with ecologists and architects, site planners and traffic engineers, all to guarantee the integrity of the environment will be preserved for the enjoyment of the residents.

In Winding Brook Farm, the Westport Group of experts has found the ideal canvas on which to work their artistic magic. It is hard to conceive of a more perfect site for select number of memorable homes.

The rolling hills of Connecticut greet the visitor and resident to Winding Brook Farm. Each individual home site affords breathtaking vistas that seem to extend beyond the horizon, creating an atmosphere of beauty and serenity.

Only fifty families will be able to enjoy the quality of life offered at Winding Brook Farm. Spacious sites on this 95 acre farm range from approximately one-and-one-third acres to slightly over three-and-one-third acres.

From predevelopment planning to finished construction, every aspect of Winding Brook Farm has been undertaken with an eye towards traditional Yankee craftsmanship. This attitude is reflected in details ranging from the imposing granite and fieldstone entrances to the state-of-the-art services brought to the site.

Long before the first spade of earth was turned, specialists from the Westport Group surveyed all aspects of the site. Internationally-known ecologists and environmentalists were brought in to assure the preservation of the wetlands and other unique elements of the area. Project planners were engaged to study the development's impact on the surrounding community. Engineers were enlisted to evaluate existing traffic patterns and recommend the most efficient layout for access and roads.

A renowned team of landscape architects and site planners worked classic plantings and other natural elements into plans that take full advantage of each site's natural conformations.

But with all the care and attention to detail, at Winding Brook Farm, the needs of each homeowner are of paramount importance.

At Winding Brook Farm, buyers may purchase a "bare" site or contract for a completed home, custom-built to their specifications. The Westport Group will gladly work with the buyer's architect and builders to assure that each home will blend beautifully with the overall environment of the development.

Municipal sewers and the site's own underground electrical, telephone and cable service are available to each lot. Additional services may be provided, based on the needs of the buyer and the recommendations of their individual contractors.

Should the buyer choose to have the Westport Group undertake the construction, plans will be developed to meet the needs and preferences of each buyer from morning sun streaming in a bedroom window, to a secluded English garden off the breakfast area.
